I've received your files but didn't find time to try it. If you need a fast answer, if Tripy files can be read and written by RouteConverter, then send me some example files produced with Tripy.

Take your time, I will do also some tests also during my holiday in Spain in July 2012.
And I will send you a produced Tripy file.
Kind regards, Walther

Did anyone ever make any progress on this? I'm also bumping into the 'tripy' problem, albeit the other way around.
Apparantly there isn't any other converter but the RoadTracer Pro software that is able to convert tripy (.trb) files to formats for more common GPS systems.
Since not everybody is able to pay top $ to try out routes created by people using Tripy, it would be super handy to convert them to .gpx.
I am here left with a bunch of .trb files for a tour I'm doing, wanting to convert them to my Garmin, but no beer. Searching Google doesn't yield any results that does not involve buying a Tripy (which kind of defeats the purpose of converting them to another format)

You wil have to contact ww.tripy.eu in Belgium Europe.
Tripy can handle these extensions :
- GPX
- GDB
It would be nice if Christian could do the study of a TRB file.
I hope Tripy can send a TRB-file to Christian …. it would be nice.

Hi Walther,
thank you for the files and the documentation. Unfortunately these .trb files are binary encoded, i.e. not human readable and even with documentation about its structure hard to support. Without documentation it's rather impossible - at least for me - since it consumes too much time to figure out the details by trial-and-error.

I also have some .trb files which are the 'open' tripy format which can be converted to .gpx trough RoadTracer Pro.
If you want them I can send them.

If you send them I'll have a look. Probably "Open" tripy means human readable...
