#1
Hi Christian , hi everybody

My Routeconverter was working ok till about 6 months ago , One day something happened and I started getting this below error

Since that day , I can not see the map anymore ...

I tried everything on the F.Q.A page , I checked the forums but nothing helped.

I turned my internet security to Medium - Low, I cleared the Java cache, I modified the registry HKEY LOCAL USERS, I corrected the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts, I enabled scripting of Java ENABLED.

I also Started the software from WEB , I installed both Java 32bit and 64bits,

I did everything but I still get above errors, SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP !!!

Thank you

Can somebody pls help me what to do ?

Hi Christian

Thanks for the info, I did what I read there and copied the log file, however this forum did not allow me to add the logfile as a txt , so I uploaded the file into my dropbox.

Here is the link https://www.dropbox.com/s/0jn58o2ywn25ft...verter.log

I look forward to hearing from you

Hi,

at a first glance there is just this message which does help...

But then I saw this

RouteConverter cannot access the RouteCatalog service since something - I guess your firewall - is blocking any attempt to create a socket. I guess the map component suffers from the same problem.

So you need to allow RouteConverter.exe to embed the IE and allow IEexplorer.exe to access Google Maps.

Can you tell me how to "allow RouteConverter.exe to embed the IE and allow IEexplorer.exe to access Google Maps."

That highly depends on the personal firewall and/or security solution that you use. Most ask upon first access and all provide a configuration option to whitelist applications.

Which personal firewall and/or security solution are you using?

Hi

I am using Norton 360 with standard settings .

I have checked the Firewall settings also ,

Routeconverterwindows.exe and
Routeconverterwindows64.exe are ALLOWED

When I goto details of these two settings, all communication is allowed

I don't know what else to do, I am getting crazy !! Smile

I find personal firewalls frustrating, too. Most RouteConverter problems can be traced down to problems with them. You could use another program or put RouteConverter into a VM Sad
