Quote: I have 2 Mac's, one "old" iMac and a more recent MacBook 13" from medio 2012.
On my old iMac I had installed routeconverter 64bit a few years ago, but hardly ever have used it.

The screenshot you saw, was the old version I had installed a long time ago.
It was impossible to install Routeconverter on my newer MacBook, due to the issues described.

No, it IS the Gatekeeper problem, but the error message is inappropriate.

In System Prefs/Security & Privacy/General, set 'Allow apps to be downloaded from:' to Anywhere. Then you'll find RouteConverter starts up ok. You can then reset the security to whatever you had before and RC will still start up ok from then on. I'm guessing you may have to do that every time you update RC.

Hi @UKenGB,

this reads like a solution. Or is it too early?

May you write some words for the english >>>FAQ<<< to help other users?

But now I was successful in installing Routeconverter on my newer MacBook by first allowing "any source" in the security preference settings (to bypass Gatekeeper).
When I had not changed this in advance, I received in all cases a message saying that the file was damaged and should be moved to trash.

In the past the Gatekeeper reacted differently, that's why I did not recognize the issue.

Thank you for your feedback.
