Waypoints - wrong directions
#1
I have created a route with RouteConverter to use with OsmAnd. Most of the route works OK after a few corrections to remove a number of “back-tracking”. I am unable to correct the beginning of the route.
I have tried changing the waypoints positions, adding more waypoints , deleting some or even creating a new route. This odd behaviour means that the route cannot be followed unless the wrong directions are followed.

I don’t think it has to do with the RouteConverter but as I am quite inexperienced in this area I was wondering if you could suggest a solution

I am attaching (I hope I am :-) ) the section of the route that is creating this problem plus screenshots of wrong directions ( 4 images to show detail) and the way it should be.

( I couldn't insert images...)

=====================

RouteConverter - This is the correct route - only 3 waypoints. 1st is Worrelle Avenue and destination is Tongwell St

This is what OsmAnd creates.... arrows denote the direction

Have you've read the route planning page?

Hi Christian

Yes I have read the route planning page and tried different waypoint positions and numbers but no luck. I am convinced is the OsmAnd algorithm the culprit. I have posted the issue to the OsmAnd forum but I had no response from any of their developers yet ...... and possibly never will

Thanks for responding
