Edit GPX tracklogs from GPS point by point
#1
Hello,

I have this problem: I hike a lot and keep all the tracklogs from my Garmin GPS in GoogleEarth. Garmin GPX tracklogs have timestamps in them that I want to keep.
Once in GoogleEarth I can see all the mistakes of the GPS (erratic points, wrong positions, jagged tracklog), and I would like to adjust it by dragging the single points over the map.
Google Earth allows me to do that by dragging the little squares on the single points, but when I export the KML, the timestamps are gone!

I then came across RouteConverter, and from a quick test I can see that it imports the Garmin GPX right away, and although it does not visualize the time stamps (it would be nice to have that), when I export them in KML the timestamps seem to be preserved, so that is good.

First problem: every time I double click on a point of the tracklog that I want to move, and the little red balloon appears on the map, I need to click a third time on the baloon and drag it, for a total of 3 clicks per point. Worse, once I move a point, the map zooms all the way out and I have to zoom in again! Is there a solution for this?

Second question: is it possible to enable little icons (say, little squares like on GoogleEarth), so that I can just click once and drag them?

You can reduce this to 2 clicks by clicking close (15 pixel) to the point on the map and moving it. See http://www.routeconverter.com/select-positions/en for more options

Yes, there is a bug in the 2.15. Please try the prerelease, it solves the problem for me.
