Error in displaying Distance and in Elevation graph
#1
The distance displayed for the route is actually length of the track and not the length of the route!
This causes also the Elevation graph to be wrong and incomplete.
Please, refer to the attached picture.

Anyway, all my thanks for developing and making available this superb application!

Correct. For German, there is an FAQ entry for this: http://www.routeconverter.de/faq/bedienu...n-nicht/de

When you are in type "Route" display mode, starting from the second position on, the value "Distance" in each row could be replaced by the "Length" value (which is actually correct) as if that position would be temporairly the 'End Point' of the Route. And so on.
This way the Elevation graph would be correct and would fit into the window completely.

I've translated the FAQ to English: http://www.routeconverter.de/faq/handlin...correct/en

Please have a look at it.

Yes Christian, I was just suggesting a solution to overcome the issue.
In 'Route' mode, the Length value is always correct and each position Distance value is always incorrect.
But, from the second position on you add to the Route, instead of taking the incorrect value for the Distance coming from Google Maps, you can take the Length value, which is correct.

Great, it just needs some clever programming and a lot of testing to solve it. Would you like to do it?

I actually found a workaround to the errors in subject and want to share it sure it could be useful to someone else:
once the route is completed, select all positions in the route position list, and, from the 'Position' menu list, select 'Insert Intermediate Positions' then select 'All waypoints' from the dialog box.
Wait until the task completes. Once completed, the Lenght of the route will be almost correct and the Distance shown in the original positions of the route will be almost correct. This also apply to the elevation graph.
