Openandromaps Elevate 4 theme support
#1
Hi,

I just started using this software - thanks very much for a great tool!

I'm using the 2.18.4 offline version.  I have just a minor thing I'm trying to understand.

I'm trying to add a theme (Elevate 4 from openandromaps), but this is not listed in available downloads in RouterConverter.

Also, it looks like the Elevate 3 is no longer available for download from openandromaps (download fails from within RouteConverter).

So I've downloaded Elevate 4 manually hoping to import it somehow, but can't seem to find any option to do this.  And searching the English discussions here didn't seem to give any clue.

Is this a limitation due to mapsforge version support in RouteConverter, or is there some workaround I might try to import Elevate 4?

Either way, not a big problem...I can use Elevate 2, but just trying to understand the situation.

Dear Mark,

I'm happy to hear that you like it.

What is the URL for the theme? I'm happy to include it.

I'll check that.

There is no import. Just throw it in a folder below $HOME/.routeconverter/themes/openandromaps

RouteConverter is scanning the corresponding folders below $HOME/.routeconverter/ for maps and themes when starting.

I hope this helps to explain it.

Hi Christian,

The main theme page is here (where you can also see Elevate 3 has been deprecated):

http://www.openandromaps.org/en/legend/e...hike-theme

and the specific download link is:

http://www.openandromaps.org/wp-content/...evate4.zip

It sure does.  I just noticed Elevate 4 only came out yesterday (!) for openandromaps, which is why this is a new issue.

In the meantime I dropped the new theme into the folder you suggested (I also noticed an indicator to this folder location in the Theme dropdown menu of the app...sorry I wasn't looking carefully before and missed that!).

The new theme looks much better...for example, map icons that were too large in earlier versions of the theme are now a better size.

I'll report back if I notice any issues, but so far so good.

Thanks very much Smile
