Quote:So the pattern would be WPTx for <identifier>? Does it have to be WPTx?
And why not WPT01, WPT02, WPT03?
Either mode is supported by Garmin. Since a maximum of 5 characters. So you have to program to be renamed automatically.
Quote:Regarding <comment> there is software out there like AirNavPro that fills the GPX <description> with reasonable values that I've matched to FPL <comment>. Which software are you using?
We use more than one type of software to generate the .GPX file(like AirProNav, Sar Pro Air, EWAC, PMA, etc), each with its way of generating the <identifier> and <comment> fields. This is a mess. To fix the problem of communication between the software, the automatic renaming of the <identifier> and <comment> fields would solve all problems.
I think you did not put the rules for the <route-name> field, either. I know this field is easily editable by the "Points List" option, but there are no restrictions on editing. Garmim also needs rule in this field.

Wouldn't it be easier then if I added a button or switch to do automatic renaming of <identifier> and <comment>?
So with one click all <identifiers> become WPTxx and all <comment> are deleted?

There is no restricting on editing, but when saving the .fpl file it's automatically converted to UPPERcase without spaces:
Code:
<route>
<route-name>NEUEPOSITIONSLISTE1</route-name>

Perfect! Waiting for it.

You're right. It's already working anyway.

I've just uploaded a new prerelease for Windows which contains a checkbox in the flight plan dialog. Please find it and test: does it work for you?

I tested the new pre-release. This worked wonderfully! Through the key you entered, the rules are pre-defined. The only caveat that remains unreliable is the spots that are on already GPS database airports. Very obliged to listen to our needs.
How many copies can I get from Route Converter? We have 4 computers for planning (one for each plane) and I would like to know if I can use the software on these 4 computers.

What does that mean?

One solution is to register one user in the RouteConverter server for each of the 4 computers. The other solution is to reuse the one user that you already have.
