Hallo OpenCycleMap-Fans,

seit ein paar Wochen verwendet RouteConverter für die OpenCycleMap einen API-Key, da die OpenCycleMap von http://www.thunderforest.com/ betrieben wird.

Heute habe ich eine Mail bekommen:

your customers find our maps useful too.

I've been looking at the requests on your API Key and we need to upgrade
your account to a paid plan. Here is the request data for the last few days:

Based on this request rate, the most appropriate plan would be our Small
Business plan, which has a quota of 15,000,000 requests per month.

Das heißt, die Zugriffszahlen für die OpenCycleMap liegen über dem freien Budget (150000 Requests per Monat), dass das freie Budget praktisch an einem Tag verbraucht ist. Es gibt also jede Menge OpenCycleMap-Nutzer da draußen.

Trotzdem habe ich die OpenCycleMap mit meinem API-Key nun aus der Liste der Karten entfernt und meinen API-Key bei Thunderforest gekündigt, da ich nicht sehe, daß ich die von Thunderforest geforderten 195 Pfund pro Monat regelmäßig bezahlt bekomme.
