Other DEM file format ?
#11
Hmmm...

I've also a stupid question : why some institutes sends lot of money to produce DEM at 1m if a simple linear interpolation is enough... ?

So... let's forget... it was just a suggestion... some apps can read multiple DEM file formats, RC can't, no problem in fact, it's like that.

Best regards,

Bernard

For surveying purposes and use in a GIS. The free availability is a side effect triggered by the European INSPIRE initiative.

Hi Bernard,

I'd be happier if you told me a bit about the background of your suggestion instead of sentences where I scratch my head because I don't have the background information. My questions where meant to help increase my understanding.

With the information that I have so far – elevation data with a precision that most users won't value and variable DEM formats with lots of options and thus implementation complexity - I don't see a value in spending time on this – but rather move my dated server infrastructure to a new basis. If I find an hour or two.
