Hi Christian,
I'm using your programm to "translate" (not just converting) Garmin routes to TomTom. By this I mean that I'm editing Garmin routes in such a manner that when different people are riding a route using Garmin and TomTom they would drive the same route. I can accomplish this by moving, adding and removing of routepoints in such a way that "driving the shortest route on a TomTom" will have the same result as driving the route with a Garmin.
This works great, all do it's a lot of work. After this I'm using Garmin Mapsource on the computer and the route in demo-mode on the TomTom as a final test to see if the routes are the same.
Using the programm this way I came up with some ideas for a next release. It would be nice if you could have a look at them.
1. (mouse) scroll /zoom function in the map section.
2. Option to use a floating bar with all position list editing tools in them instead of sticked to the right side (more space).
3. Moving the position list to the buttom of the screen with a configurable amount of positions visable (instead of the whole list at once) to edit so there is more space for the map view. This way it's possible to view more positions at the same time without scrolling and zooming.
Buying a big 24" screen could also be a solution :-)
Regards,
Motorgekske.

Hi Motorgekske,
doesn't that work for you if you use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out?

Try to drag the vertical bar with the two arrows to the left and right. Or click on the arrows to hide map or position list. Does this work for you?

You think of having the map above the position list?

And they've amazingly dropped in prices ;-)

Sorry, it must have been late in the evening, it's working.

I understand what you mean, and I'm using it this way already.
What I'm looking for is a "floating bar" which you can move around the screen freely and place it everywhere you want.
This bar should then contain all "buttons" which are on the right side of the screen (save/ delete /add /select duplicates). An example of a "floating bar" is the windows language bar, which can be put anywhere on the screen or else sticked to the task bar. Even the task bar is a "floating bar".

Correct.

Both ideas sound reasonable but difficult (=time consuming) to implement. Can you help?

I would if I could, I've no programming experience at all. But you have done a great job so far. I can do some ßeta testing after you have developed a new version if you want. Thank you in advance for considering my ideas.

feature request:
I would love to see both the track and the waypoints (waypoint list) at the same time. This would allow me to add waypoints along the track without having to change the position list back and forth.
Thanks!

I guess there is a misunderstanding here? You want to plan routes and see the waypoints of the route, do you? See a common understanding of the terms here:
