When I click on the arrow to maximise the position list and then click the other arrow to restore the list to its previous size the map doesn't always re-appear. If I try to scroll it back into position I just get brief flashes of the map, "Centre Here" doesn't work either.
To restore the map I have to click the arrow to maximise it and then click the other arrow to restore the position list. Even then, the map doesn't always return to its original position.

Connected with this - I was zoomed in on a point, expanded the position list to fill the screen, restored the position list to where it was and the map zoomed out to display the whole track, which was 103 miles long, so I had to do quite a bit of zooming-in to get back to where I was.
Also, when zooming using the + & - keys it would be better to zoom around the centre of the displayed map, as it is the point under examination wanders off and has to be brought back by dragging the map.

Dear Roger,
do you have a sequence of clicks that I need to do to reproduce the problem? I don't see the problem here.

Do you mean post #1 or #2?

Sorry, I didn't see that #2 was a different topic. I meant #1

There is a zooming option which changes the behaviour: Extras/Options/Center Map to Selected Positions
How did you configure that?

This is the sequence I went through
Clipboard-3.jpg (Size: 136.19 KB / Downloads: 649)
Clipboard-4.jpg (Size: 63.94 KB / Downloads: 602)
Clipboard-6.jpg (Size: 134.3 KB / Downloads: 620)
Only this time it didn't go wrong! although the map in the 3rd picture is slightly out of position.
When it did go wrong the map was either missing or partially displayed in image 3.
Do you cache the maps or is it downloaded each time it's displayed? If the latter maybe there's a broadband speed issue (I'm in the UK after all)?

I left it at the default - I've now checked it and that seems to have cured that issue.
Many thanks!

It's happened again - I followed the sequence in post #7 as soon as I started the program and this was the result:
Clipboard-7.jpg (Size: 43.63 KB / Downloads: 604)
Also, sometimes the point markers don't always disappear after they are deleted from the position list.
Maybe a "Refresh Map" key is required - F5?

You're not the first to report his. But I still have no idea where it comes from.

I always wanted to avoid that since I believe it's an unnecessary action that the program demands from the user.
