Dear Stuffa,
I've seen a few reports of this kind. Please provide more information to help me identify the fail pattern. A good start is to use Help/Send Error Report... and describe your setup: Java versions, screens, screen size, window maximized - whatever might be special in your setup.

I have the same problem. On mac 10.11.16 with Java 8.101 route converter don't work in the last weeks. When I open it, still remain the blank white form and I must force the quit. I try to reinstall old version but now also them don't work.
The only work version is the offline version, but i can't use google maps.

What has changed in the last weeks on your machine? A Java update?

Nothing news about the problem with last java version ?

I have exactly the same issue and setup.
Had a working 2.17 on my Mac (same setup as described above), when I started it I was prompted to download and install 2.18. Did so, installed 2.18.5, with the same result as above. Deleted 2.18, reinstalled 2.17 and now 2.17 doesn't work anymore either. Deleted 2.17, downloaded 2.18 again: no luck, same issue. Updated Java to 8.101, same result: routeconverter simply hangs shortly after the start. The menubar displays, but then the app freezes. Too bad, as I really liked Routeconverter... I can't post the generated error report: the forum system says it is too big a text.

I have lots of reports of users that use RouteConverter successfully on the Mac. I'm one of them. Some have reported problems when they updated Java. One of them said that a reboot helped. Please provide more hints, information, logs, observations to chase the problems. They seem to be Java-related.

I can find any routeconverter.log file anywhere on my mac.... Can you be more specific as to where/how to find it than the current FAQ: "Mac OS X: search for the hidden RouteConverter.log somewhere below /tmp/". I would really like to get Routeconverter working again on my Mac! |
