can only edit one list item
#1
I find that I can only edit one position list item in a GPX file - typically by click-drag on the map pointer of the selected list item. Once I have done that, I cannot select another list item. Sometimes I find I can select & highlight another list item, but the map pointer remains at the edited item and does not appear at the newly-selected item. The only way out seems to be to save, then quit RouteConverter and restart it. After that I can again edit just 1 list item then have to save & quit again.

I am using a MacBook Pro (15" mid-2010) running El Capitan 10.11.6.

I get the same behaviour with the stable release (build 2.20.845) and the latest prerelease (build 2.21.864) of RouteConverter.

I am running Java 8 update 144.

Any suggestions or help?

That sounds weird. I cannot reproduce it here on my Mac.

Please use Help/Send Errorreport... after having seen this effect. Maybe something interesting is in the logs.

Christian - I just tried again on a similar file to generate an error report and find it's working fine now!

The only thing I can think of is that since I last used RouteConverter I have removed from my machine an activity monitoring app called RescueTime, because it seemed to be causing an unacceptable slow-down in other apps.

Trying to think of all possibilities, the only other difference today is that I am away from base and so do not have my external disc drives connected. I don't use them for live work, they are just for various sorts of backups (Time Machine & Carbon Copy Cloner) of my internal HD, so I don't think having them connected would affect the way any app on the internal HD operates.

Sorry to have bothered you.

Thank you for the summary. I'm glad RouteConverter now works for you.
