Extras > Options doesn't display options (KDE Neon)
#1
Having got past my initial problem of not being able to see the map (installed Oracle version of Java to solve that), now in 2.21 under KDE Neon clicking on Extras > Options doesn't bring up the options screen. This happens on both the online and offline versions of RC.

Running RC from terminal shows the lines:

Oct 04, 2017 10:14:04 AM slash.navigation.gui.SimpleDialog restoreLocation
INFO: Dialog size is java.awt.Dimension[width=0,height=0]
Oct 04, 2017 10:14:04 AM slash.navigation.gui.SimpleDialog restoreLocation
INFO: Dialog options location is java.awt.Point[x=745,y=435]

Oddly the problem doesn't exist when I run version 2.19.

Dear bigdog,

maybe there is an exception that prevents opening the Options dialog? Some users reported this for the 2.22 prerelease.

Thanks Christian. What does that mean exactly, and how can I check it?
Simon.

Dear Simon,

I need the log output. The easiest way would be to use Help/Send Error Report...

Thanks. Unfortunately when I go to send the report I enter my username and password and click login and the login dialog box is re-displayed with the password blank.

Then I guess the password is wrong. Please switch to email (see imprint for details) and tell me the name of your RouteConverter server login. I'll check your login then.

Ah, didn't realise this wasn't the same as the forum login, sorry! Have separately registered and the report seems to have gone. In fact, you might have two, so sorry about that as well!

Dear Simon,

I've received two of your error reports and they both say, you're using an old version of RouteConverter:

Oct 30, 2017 9:24:14 PM slash.navigation.converter.gui.RouteConverter initializeLogging
INFO: Started RouteConverter Online Edition 2.19 from 26 October 2016 for Linux with locale en_GB on Oracle Corporation Java 1.8.0_151 (64-bit) and Linux 4.10.0-37-generic amd64 with 1789 MByte heap

Please update to the latest release and test if the problem persists.

Dear Simon,

did this start with RC 2.20?
Are you seeing exceptions on the console when starting RouteConverter?
